Service Description

The session is delivered in Native American teepee where copal is used the cleanse the air to start with and soothing music is played in the background. The medicine is applied by burning off the surface layer of the skin and inserting the venom of the frog on the wound. After the application the patient is instructed to drink about 1 to 2 liters of water. Within minutes of applying the kambo, people tend to experience generally unpleasant symptoms, such as sweating, tachycardia, or a rapid heart rate and dizziness until very briefly the patient vomits the water and or excretes the toxins 'from below' in the toilets next to the teepee, immediately feeling better. While the sensation experienced during ceremony is not hallucinogenic or entheogenic in any way, the energetic shift is clearly both physical and spiritual of nature. After the session some patients may feel tired which is why we recommend at least 1.5h recovery period before continuing with other therapies.
